The Peak District

Peak District, a wonderful place in the UK with several places to hike. Me and my friend went on a 1-hour uphill walk amongst the hills

We met some really friendly people (and friendly dogs!) but unfortunately I fell in a pool of mud and water.

Powerlifting Day!

I'm writing this at 11PM the day before.. but I can't wait for tomorrow. Maybe I'll even post a little picture of the gym!

Well, I finally had my session! Wasn't great as I had way too much caffeine. My bench press would've not passed in competition :(.

However, my squats were okay at 70kg/154lbs x3 reps. I hope I can get more depth next time though.

Today, I also received my first ever email! Hooray, and I even got a net neighbour out of it.



Prepping for tomorrow

Today, I basically did nothing but chill at home so I can prepare for my powerlifting session with my coach tomorrow.

I'm going to ace my bench and deadlifts, and am excited to try my squats as a powerlifter gifted her spare squat shoes to me! It's been life changing and my depth has become much better. I'm still a beginner.

On the 8th of March, I'm having a bench-only competition. I'm super excited to see whether I can get to 60KG/132LBS bench press and win a gold medal!

Luckily, I have no other competition as I am the only person participating in the 68KG category at this event.



Reigniting my boxing journey

I asked my coach if I should join a women's boxing class, and he said yes! So I went at 7pm and did a high-intensity cardio boxing course and boy oh boy I felt out of shape :(

When I went into the class, they asked if I ever boxed before. I lied and said no (I was too shy to say yes!) and they showed me the basics. I threw a punch of two, and the instructor laughed and said "no way you've never boxed before".

Overall, I was asked if I would come back, so I clearly have given the impression I was serious about this class!



The Beginning

Went to the doctor due to stress at work. I've been putting too much on my plate. Due to the anxiety it has caused, I've been offered a sick note.

Although I have 2 weeks off, it doesn't feel like a holiday. I'm tired, and struggle to sleep lately.

Hopefully the next few weeks will be better.
